Preparing youth for their future.

Tri-Cities 2019
We set out to create the course we wished we had when we were in high school and continue to develop programs so youth receive relevant educational experiences that evolve with the times.
YELL Careers
Full year program designed for students enrolled in CLE/CLC
Personal Career-Life Development
The YELL Careers class begins with the exploration of their personal strengths and areas of growth, and growing their confidence through communication of their own views, values, and interests. Students shape their identity by understanding and reflecting on how personal awareness and culture shape it. By building their resume and network, students can get ahead in their professional journey compared to their peers.
Connections with Community
Guest speakers take part in the YELL Careers program by sharing their career path stories and advice for life after high school. Students discover ways to represent themselves through their personal and public profiles while developing transferable skills including leadership and collaboration and learning useful community-building skills like negotiations and conflict resolution.
Career-Life Planning
By researching post-graduation possibilities, and labour market trends and practicing interview skills, students get ahead in preparing for their educational and professional journey. They learn practical and important life skills such as budget planning and financial responsibility. In addition, YELL students design, assemble, and present an individual capstone project at the end of the course.
